It’s not easy in Makhulong – ODG

Highlands Park coach Owen Da Gama says it was always going to be difficult for Kaizer Chiefs to win at Makhulong Stadium.

The Lions of the North beat Amakhosi 5-4 on penalties at the Tembisa venue on Saturday (after a 1-1 draw in regulation time), in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

“You must give credit to Chiefs; they played very well, they have top quality players and they wanted it as much…

“Unfortunately, it’s not easy at Makhulong, everybody knows that,” said Da Gama.

The win for Highlands Park sees them into the quarterfinals of ‘Ke Yona’, with the draw set for Tuesday.
