It’s not healthy where we are – Chipezeze

Another man of the match performance from Elvis Chipezeze helped Baroka to a 1-0 win over neighbours Polokwane City at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It was a 7th clean sheet for the Zimbabwean international this season after only registering 6 cleans sheets the entire season in 2018/19.

The 29-year-old admits that the win will bring the much needed confidence in the team.

“Credit must go to the boys like I said before this match we really needed this win to push the confidence going forward because if you check where we are it is not healthy. We have quality players in the squad who are capable of doing much better so we are just happy that this one is in the bag,” Chipezeze told the media after the match.

“As a goalkeeper I have to make clean sheets because if you make clean sheets you give your boys a chance to win the game so I am just happy I did that.”

On surviving the axe, Chipezeze is confident they will stay in the elite League.

“Yes we are very positive but for now we are just taking it one game at a time, looking forward to our next matches because we just want to try and pick up as much points as we can,” he concluded.
