Baroka stand-in coach Matsemela Thoka has encouraged his players not to panic despite facing the drop after suffering their third consecutive defeat when they went down 1-0 against Golden Arrows on Wednesday.
Bakgaga’s struggles in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) continue as their winless run stretches to 6 matches, losing 4 and drawing 2 to remain rock bottom of the log standings with 14 points from 17 matches.
However, coach Matsemela says it is too early to push the panic buttons.
“The boys just need motivation to encourage them, we need to believe in them, they must believe in themselves as well. We will get it, but if we keep on losing, we will find ourselves in a very dangerous position but the way in which we are playing, we are not scoring.
“We created chances, the same applies against Cape Town City, we got chances but we are not burying the chances… but the teams that we are playing against they get half chances and they score,” said Thoka.
The last time Baroka won a match in the PSL was back in November against bitter rivals Polokwane City in the Limpopo derby.
Interestingly, the two sides meet again at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.
