Retired FIFA referee Jerome Damon is in Eswatini for a workshop with the local match officials.
Damon arrived together with Mark Nzengo of Malawi for the five-day workshop launched by Eswatini Football Association (EFA) President Peter Simelane.
Damon and Nzengo are FIFA instructors and have been mandated by the world’s governing football body to take charge of the workshop which will run until Friday.
Nzengo will deal specifically with the physical aspect of the training while Damon will handle the technical side.
The workshop comes amid confirmation that the 2021/2022 premier league football season is projected to kick-off on 8 October 8 2021.
Only elite referees are taking part in the workshop.
