Jomo Sono positive of survival

Jomo Cosmos coach, Jomo Sono remains positive of surviving relegation despite sitting second from bottom on the GladAfrica Championship.

Cosmos suffered their 13th defeat when they went down 2-1 to promotion hopefuls Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on Tuesday.

The loss means ‘Ezenkosi’ are only three points above bottom-placed side, Royal Eagles with five matches remaining.

“To be honest, I am positive. I know we are second from bottom but this team will survive. The way we played especially in the first half, they were unbelievable. Even in the second but unfortunately, we gave away two silly goals and the same keeper who gave away two silly goals made incredible saves today.

“So I am confident if we carry on playing the way we played I think we will surprise a lot of teams. I mean we outplayed them, we gave them two goals but there was nothing from their side and they are top, so I am very proud of my team and I think this team will do well and survive,” said Sono.
