Maritzburg United boss Farook Kadodia has heaped praise on Siyanda Xulu, who’s leaving the club.
The Team of Choice confirmed on Monday that Xulu is heading for the exit when his contract expires tomorrow, June 30.
“We would like to sincerely thank Siyanda for the fantastic service he has given us over the 3 seasons. He added a lot of experience and steel in our backline and ensured that we had one of the best defences in the PSL in recent years,” stated Kadodia.
Xulu, meanwhile, described his stay as “amazing” as he bid the club farewell.
He’s expected to return to Gauteng where he used to play for Mamelodi Sundowns and later on Kaizer Chiefs.
Now he’s linked with Orlando Pirates and if the move does materialise, he’d become one of a handful of players to have played for all SA’s big three.
#FARPost will keep tabs on Xulu’s move.
