Kaitano Tembo: It looks like they [players] have lost confidence

SuperSport United have failed to find the back of the net in their last three games and were recently eliminated from the Nedbank Cup in the first round by their rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

Kaitano Tembo feels his side has lost confidence following their poor run of form which saw them lose three consecutive League games against Stellenbosch, Sundowns and Golden Arrows.

The Tshwane based side will have a mini break as their next Absa Premiership clash will be against Bidvest Wits at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday, February 29.

“This break is going to be good for us and we will look to do some team building to try and lift the players,” said Tembo.

“It looks like they [SuperSport players] have lost confidence‚ “I don’t think we can be talking about the title right now.

“There are not many matches left and we haven’t scored in our last three games. That has made it difficult for us, “said the SuperSport head coach.

‘Matsatsantsa are fourth on the log standings after 22 games with 34 points‚11 adrift of leaders Kaizer Chiefs who have 20 matches, 2 behind SuperSport.
