AmaZulu general manager Lunga Sokhela has opened up about the transfer talks linking the club with a host of players in this transfer window.
Black Leopards dribbling wizard Lesedi Kapinga is one of the players that have been linked with a big money move to the KwaZulu Natal-based outfit over the last few weeks after his impressive displays in the Absa Premiership this season.
The Usuthu general manager admits that Kapinga is a player that the club are looking at as well as Siphelele Magubane who was released by Golden Arrows.
“He’s a good player there’s no doubt [Magubane] and Kapinga is also a good player you know those are good players and whether or not they gonna come here I don’t know but those are top players you can’t deny that,” said Sokhela.
When quizzed if there has been talks between the players’ representatives and the club Sokhela was coy though he hinted Usuthu might wait for Kapinga’s contract to run down at Leopards and snap him up on a free transfer.
“No there’s no talks with any camp per say you know those are players that have been linked with us by the media and we are openly saying they are good players. Kapinga we know his contract is… we hear that his contract is ending in June which is interesting and Magubane now has his clearance but those are very good players I won’t deny that,” added Sokhela.
Kapinga who was touted as the next Percy Tau by ex-Leopards coach Luc Eymael has bagged 4 goals in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for the club this season, while Magubane remains clubless after Golden Arrows terminated his contract this week.
FARPost.co.za reported on Thursday that he’s expected to sign for AmaZulu today.
