South African midfielder Katlego Mashigo has joined Waterford FC from Bohemians in Ireland.
The 20-year-old has signed a one-year deal with the club and he will immediately link up with the senior squad as he looks to begin life at his new home.
This is his third professional club having been in the books of Fleetwood Town in England as well. Speaking to the club’s website, Mashigo said he was very pleased to make the switch and looks forward to playing for Waterford.
“Training has been good. Met some of the lads over the week, I’m really enjoying it. It’s been tough. The managers have put in place what they want from us over the season so hopefully, we can be ready to deliver.
“It’s great to have Daryl and Brian (Murphy) around you every day, their experience and knowledge of the game is phenomenal. So it’s fantastic to learn from players that have been at the highest level.
“Looking forward to getting playing. I’m energetic, love a tackle, I’d love to add a few goals over the season as well.”
