Yet another former Premier Soccer League (PSL) coach is in trouble elsewhere.
Ex Free State Stars coach Nikola Kavazovic has been forced to quit his head coach position at Botswana side, Gaborone United.
This comes just a day after FARPost.co.za reported that former Orlando Pirates coach Micho Sredojevic is in trouble with Zamalek fans, who feel he doesn’t deserve to coach the Egyptian outfit.
Both these coaches are from Serbia. Kavazovic was in charge of Free State Stars from December 2018, but couldn’t save the club from relegation and then parted ways with Ea Lla Koto earlier this year.
Kavazovic’s resignation at Gaborone United has been confirmed by the club.
“This serves to inform the football fraternity that our Coach Nikola Kavazovic has resigned from the Club with immediate effect. Meanwhile Khalid Niyonzima will take charge of our game against Extension Gunners,” read the statement.
According to reports in Botswana, Kavazovic had to be whisked off the Galaxy Stadium in Jwaneng by the police after Gaborone Unkited supporters bayed for his blood, following the team’s loss to Galaxy FC in the Mascom Top 8 game.
The supporters were apparently angered by the team’s poor show on the field of play.
