Kgatlana still in contention to defend CAF award

Banyana Banyana’s Thembi Kgatlana remains with a chance to defend her CAF Women’s Player of the Year accolade after making this year’s top three.

Kgatlana, who won the award last year, will be challenged by Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala and Ajara Nchout of Cameroon.

The winner for each category will be revealed on Tuesday, January 7 2020, at the Caf Awards ceremony taking place at the Albatros Citadel Sahl Hasheesh, Hurghada, Egypt.

Thembi Kgatlana won the award last year, alongside coach Desiree Ellis, who’s also in the top three this year.

Meanwhile, Banyana striker Amanda Mthandi is up for goal of the year.
