Zambia Super League side Kitwe United have parted ways with their head coach Steven Mwansa.
The termination of Mwansa’s contract will come into effect on Thursday, 31 December.
Mwansa becomes the third coach to be fired this season after Patrick Phiri at Lumwana Radiants and Manfred Chabinga at Nkana.
“Kitwe United Football Club has terminated the employment contract of its Head Coach Mr. Steven Mwansa with effect from 31st December 2020,” the club said in a statement.
“The Club has since thanked Mr. Mwansa for the services rendered during his tour of duty at the Club and wished him well in his future endeavours,” said Kitwe.
Assistant coach George Phiri will be in charge in the interim before a new permanent coach is announced.
Kitwe United currently sit bottom of the Zambia Super League table with four points from the 10 games so far.
