AmaZulu have concluded the capture of winger Mxolisi Kunene.
According to Isolezwe Sport, the speedy Maritzburg United winger has signed for Usuthu and he will be among some players who will be announced by the Durban-based side next month.
The 29-year-old will see his contract expire at the end of this month, paving way for him to join any team of his choice.
Isolozwe Sunday edition has been informed by a reliable source close to the deal that the player has penned an undisclosed deal with Benni McCarthy’s AmaZulu.
“Kunene has signed for AmaZulu FC, I can assure you. They are just waiting for the end of the month before they can unveil him officially with other players and those they are negotiating with,” said a source.
“Actually he is not the only one, there are other players from Maritzburg United, but they are still negotiating with them,” added the source.
It is rumoured that Thabiso Kutumela and Kwanda Mngonyama are also close to concluding deals with Usuthu.
Kunene’s arrival at AmaZulu will be like home-coming having being developed at Usuthu before playing for Swallows (in GladAfrica Championship), then Baroka before he went to Maritzburg United, where he spent four seasons.
