Brighton manager Graham Potter has revealed that Tariq Lamptey might return to action after this weekend.
The youngster has been out of action for close two months after picking up a hamstring injury against Fulham in the Premier League.
Lamptey has not been able to feature for the Seagulls in 2021. Potter’s side last played against Aston Villa three days ago, in a match that ended goalless.
The 20-year-old is expected to return to action when Brighton play against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on February 22.
“Tariq is progressing. We are hopeful it will be when we play Crystal Palace maybe.”
Lamptey started the season well playing as a full back. He has featured 11 times scoring once and assisting another strike in the league. He recently signed a contract extension which will keep him in Albion until 2025.
He has been subject of transfer talks with clubs in the German Bundesliga, Spanish La Liga and some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League all showing massive interest in his services.
