Polokwane City head coach Clinton Larsen says he would still love to work with Zitha Macheke in the future.
Rise and Shine came close to signing the Bidvest Wits full-back in the January transfer window, but the move couldn’t materialise after the player turned it down.
Larsen and Macheke previously worked together while still at Chippa United.
“That’s between our clubs [if really Polokwane wanted the player in January], but I think there were talks,” said Larsen.
“Yes, we always talking about players and possible recruitments in the window period that allow us to bring players in and you know names are always thrown around,” added Larsen.
“You know every club does it, and yeah he’s a player that you know I would look forward to work with again if I get the opportunity because you know, I believe that he’s done well under me, and as a result got his move to Wits.
“And ja so if the chance comes up in the future again and there is a possibility, I would probably look at it,” concluded the Polokwane mentor.
