After parting ways with Bizana Pondo Chiefs coach Clinton Larsen has been linked with a move to one of the richest teams in the KwaZulu Natal ABC Motsepe League, Summerfield Dynamos.
Larsen, who is from Durban, is currently unemployed after his former club Pondo Chiefs got relegated to the ABC Motsepe League in Eastern Cape.
Club owner Nkosinathi Mqokiyana revealed that it wouldn’t be fair to take Larsen to the lower league and also the fact that he is from Durban wouldn’t be feasible for him to work in Bizana.
It appears that the former Polokwane City coach might find himself a new home soon, if negotiations go well between him and Summerfield Dynamos boss Collin Naidoo.
This follows the resignation of former coach Ronnie Gabriel, who once coached Uthongathi FC.
Naidoo told FARPost that nothing has been confirmed, but they are still negotiating with the former Chippa United coach.
“Nothing is confirmed, we have contacted him but I’m still waiting for the appointment. But I doubt he would agree to come here because it’s a downgrade you know, from PSL to NFD to Motsepe, it’s a big drop,” said Naidoo.
“It would be a dream come true if something like that would happen, but I don’t think it’s gonna be possible.”
A source close to the team has confirmed that an announcement will be made on Saturday, 12 June about the new technical team.
