Former Chippa United coach Clinton Larsen has warned the Chilli Boys owner that changing would lead to the club being relegated.
Larsen parted ways with the Port Elizabeth-based side recently and the caretaker coach, Duran Francis, was also dismissed just two games into the hot seat.
“Nine out of 10 teams that constantly change coaches get relegated,” Larsen cautioned. He was speaking to Sunday Sun.
“History will prove that fact. Sadly, we don’t learn from such things.”
Larsen reckons that Mpengesi should alter his trigger-happy nature to avoid dragging the club to the GladAfrica Championship.
“For years, the club has been flirting with relegation. History will tell you, don’t tempt fate,” Larsen added.
