FARPost can confirm that Ebrahim Layman has taken over the assistant coach role at GladAfrica Championship side, Swallows.

Layman left Santos who are campaigning in the Western Cape ABC Mostepe League to join the in-form Swallows as Brandon Truter’s assistant coach.

The Dube Birds have been flying under Truter, who has led the Birds’ tremendous turnarounds with 5 straight wins, which means the Soweto-based club is now in contention for the second-tier league honours in 4th place on the log standings with 30 points, 9 wins in 18 games.

Swallows will host Free State Stars at Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday, 15:30.
