Lebogang Mothibantwa resigns as Munaca coach

Former Bloemfontein Celtic and Orlando Pirates midfielder Lebogang Mothibantwa have resigned as Munaca FC head coach.

According to sources close to this publication, the 37-year-old mentor resigned from his duties following a Disciplinary Committee hearing of 3-1 loss against Mikhado FC which was held yesterday. For a quick reminder, the game was stopped in the 76th minute when the home side (Mikhado) netted their third goal and things escalated from that point as the opposition (Munaca) side believed it was offside.

However, the verdict of the disciplinary hearing is yet to be revealed to the public.

The side is currently placed third in Stream A of the Provincial ABC League with 21 points from 12 outings.

Munaca’s next assignment will be against stream leaders Mpheni Home Defenders on Saturday, 19 March.

The game will take place at Makhado Show Ground with the kick-off set for 15:00 in the afternoon.
