Leopards retain their status

Black Leopards have retained their status in the South African Premier Division after a hard fought 2-0 win against Ajax Cape Town in the relegation/promotion play-offs at Rand Stadium on Friday.

Defender Isaac Masia opened the scoring in the 14th minute for Lidoda Duvha who went to the half time break with a one goal lead.

Striker Mwape Musonda sealed it for Leopards with 11 minutes to go.

Leopards are top of the mini log with 9 points with one match remaining while Ajax sit second with 6 points and have played all their matches.

The last match of the play-offs will be between Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Leopards at FNB Stadium on Monday afternoon.

This, in essence, is a dead rubber.
