The Liberia Football Association has set out October 24 as the date of kick-off for the 2020/21 football season.
The 2019/20 top flight season was cancelled by the LFA due to COVID-19 with all results nullified, meaning no champions declared nor relegation to the second-tier.
The Association made the announcement following a meeting of stakeholders in which participants agreed on the date factoring several internal and external possibilities.
At the time of the season’s cancellation, Mighty Barolle was leading the Liberian First Division with 23 points, one ahead of BEA Mountain and two ahead of third-placed MC Breweries.
The season cancelation was not the first time Liberia had halted its football activities due to a crisis.
In 2014, they also suspended all football activities in an effort to control the spread of the deadly Ebola virus.
