The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) have appointed Ali El Margini as new coach as they begin their preparations for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Margini succeeds Tunisian Faouzi Benzarti who vacated the post following the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Mediterranean Knights have also appointed Ahmed Senfaz as assistant coach to Margini, while former international goalkeeper Moftah Ghazala will be the goalkeeper coach.
Libya are set to face Equatorial Guinea in back-to-back 2021 AFCON qualifiers in Tunis (9 November) and Malabo (17 November).
Margini previously served as assistant to former Libya coach Abdulhafith Arbish in 2014.
Libya shares the Group J’s second position Tanzania which also has 3 points as Tunisia tops the group with 6 points and Equatorial Guinea with zero points.
