Libyan Football Association (LFA) has confirmed the resumption of the Libyan elite league after a two-year hiatus.
The league was suspended in 2019 due to the country’s security situation.
LFA has succumbed to a decision to play the season into two groups due to difficulties in transportation in the country. Each group will consist of 12 teams.
The top two teams reaching the final stage will determine the 2020/21 season champions. The first group will represent the eastern region, while the second group includes the clubs of the western region.
The health authorities have allowed the league resumption according to precautionary measures and to be played behind closed doors.
