Safa Limpopo had its ABC Motsepe League meeting on Friday, 12 February 2021 to discuss a way forward on how things will pan out ahead of the league resumption in March.
This comes after the local football governing body gave amateur football teams permission to start training immediately but to strictly follow Safety and health directives as per government regulations.
The following points were presented by Safa Limpopo and agreed on by all the teams’ delegations in Limpopo ABC Motsepe League:
a) League to resume on the week of the 6th of March 2021.
b) League to be divided into two streams (A and B) of nine teams (Home and Away).
c) The division will be based on geographical demarcation.
d) League to end in May 2021.
e) Two teams to be relegated (one from each stream).
f) Top 4 teams from each stream will feature in the playoffs to determine the top 8. Number 1 from Stream A will play number 1 from Stream B, with the winner going straight to the national playoffs.
g) Fixtures and Streams will be released next week by the association.
