LINE-UPS: Maritzburg v Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns will be out to collect maximum points and keep Kaizer Chiefs on their toes in the title race when they take on Maritzburg United on Friday evening at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Both teams have confirmed their line-ups for the Absa Premiership clash, scheduled to start at 18:00.

‘The Team of Choice’ were in a good run of form before lockdown but suffered a 3-2 defeat against Black Leopards in their first game in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Bio Bubble.

On the other hand, Sundowns drew two and lost two of their three league matches since the restart.

According to FARPost’s Opta Jabu, the ‘Team of Choice’ are yet to beat a Sundowns side coached by Pitso Mosimane in the League as they have drawn four and lost the other eight matches.

However, Maritzburg, who are sixth on the log standings are unbeaten in 20 league matches played at home on a Friday night.

A win for second-placed Sundowns will see them move within three points of Chiefs with five games remaining.
