TS Galaxy striker Mxolisi Macuphu is eager to continue where he left off against Cape Town City in the DStv Premiership, making it clear that he wants to strive for consistency.
Macuphu scored a brace for the ‘Rockets’ when they suffered a 3-2 defeat in a highly contested encounter against the ‘Citizens’ on 19 December 2020 in Cape Town.
The former Bidvest Wits talisman has been searching for his maiden strike in the colours of Galaxy and it finally came against CT City.
In a chat with the club’s website, Macuphu said: “The two goals have been coming. As a striker that you get judged personally.
“I feel, I’ve had some quality games but the goals were the only problem. To finish off with a brace, it feels great and wonderful. I look forward to continue where I left off.
The ‘Rockets’ will open their account in the new year against Baroka on Tuesday evening, 5 January at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
Macuphu will be looking to add to his tally and continue with his rich vein of form.
“If feels great to be back at training after the Christmas break. The first day is always the toughest. The nicest part is that we started on a good note,” he said.
“We look forward to finish the first round of the season as we’ve only played eight games and left with seven games.”
January is going to be a long month for the Rockets. We have seven games to contest.
“We want to start on a good note in the month of January,” concluded Macuphu.
