Cape Town City have announced that experienced midfielder Mpho Makola has signed a new contract extension until the end of the 20201/22 season.
Makola’s initial deal was set to expire at the end of June, but CT City moved swiftly to tie him down for at least another season.
The 35-year-old former Orlando Pirates star has made over 50 appearances since joining CT City on a free transfer back in 2019 from the Soweto giants.
He has established himself as an instrumental member of ‘The Citizens’ squad and used his experience to assist the youngsters at the club.
“The club is delighted to have signed a new contract with Mpho Makola. Our midfield general extends his stay until June 2022. To more class in the midfield,” said CT City in a statement on Wednesday.
