Malepe set to join FC Minaj in Ukraine


SA U23 international Tercious Malepe looks set to complete a move to Ukrainian Premier League side, FC Minaj.

A day after being released by Orlando Pirates, the U23 captain and defensive midfielder was included in Minaj’s squad list for the 2020/21 season.

Even though the Ukrainian top division side Minaj are yet to officially announce Malepe’s arrival at the club, the Pirates youth development graduate, touted as a Bafana Bafana star, has been registered as a player on the official Ukrainian Premier League website with his profile visible.

The 23-year-old has impressed within the junior national ranks but never made an appearance for Pirates as he spent most of his career on loan at Moroka Swallows, Chippa United and Ajax Cape Town.

Malepe has earned 11 caps for Bafana, featuring in tournaments such as the COSAFA Cups and CHAN qualifiers.
