Mozambique head coach Luís Gonçalves is confident that his side will do well against Cameroon when they meet in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers.
The two nations will lock horns on Thursday in Douala before facing each again in Maputo on Monday, 16 November at the National Stadium of Zimpeto.
“We are in a very positive spirit, we are confident and naturally that we are following the plan”, said Gonçalves.
“Important and that until this moment the spirit is very positive, the players are as always committed and confident to make a good game. We are working towards having a good performance.
“We know that in the friendly matches we recently played, the results were not good, but our focus is on playing to win,” added the Mambas coach in reference to the defeats they suffered against Guinea-Bissau (0-1) and Angola (0-3) respectively.
Both matches will be behind closed doors, that is, without an audience on the stands.
