Businesswoman and President of Royal AM Shauwn Mkhize has vowed to fight for her team’s automatic promotion to the PSL.
Speaking at a Gala Dinner organized by EThekwini Mayor, Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda, Mkhize told the attendees of the prestigious event that she is ready to exhaust all the court actions to make sure that Royal AM get PSL status.
“What I know is that my team played 30 games and we are number one on the log, I don’t care about trying to win the league (GladAfrica Championship) in the boardroom,” she said.
“My players are at home, there is no need to keep on training because we are the champions, I don’t want to entertain this issue of taking football to the boardroom.
“I was in Johannesburg to fight for something I don’t know and I don’t know why we should be fighting about this.
“I’ll fight for my team, this league won’t start, my gloves are off. I’ll fight for my boys because I believe they did their best,” said Mkhize.
Judge Sutherland has dismissed the application to review the arbitration award. This means that Sekhukhune United will get their three points and win the GladAfrica Championship.
With the verdict it can be expected that Mkhize might appeal the decision.
