RB Leipzig left-back Angelino has heaped praise on Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah.
The defender spoke to the media ahead of Leipzig’s Uefa Champions League last 16 return leg with the Reds on Wednesday night. Liverpool won the first leg 2-0 away from home to put one foot in the next round of the competition. Coincidentally, it was Mane and Salah who netted the two goals in the first leg in Hungary.
Angelino also explained why the German side has an advantage going into the game. The 24-year-old is hopeful that they can turn the two-goal deficit and give the English club a run for their money.
He however, he cautioned against going into the game without focus and singled out Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane for praise and hailing the duo as ‘amazing’.
“Salah and Mane’s speed and the quality on the ball, they are amazing players.
“It is a big difference when teams have two players, not one, that are fast on the ball. They can get in behind quickly and they have a good shot also. You have to take care of them.”
Liverpool is expected to defeat their German opponents, but the Spaniard feels they will use the underdog tag to their advantage.
“We are in a good position ahead of the second leg and the pressure is more on them than us. We are the underdog and we come from behind.
“Liverpool have an amazing team. They did not win the champions league and the Premier League for nothing.
“You can’t be perfect all the time, but they have an unbelievable team with great qualities. They have quality up front and when they have Virgil van Dijk in the back, it is unbelievable.
“They have great individual players and for sure, they will compete again and get to their best version, but hopefully not in the next match against us.”
