Liverpool star Sadio Mane has been named the Professional Footballers’ Association’s Fans’ Player of the Season, capping off a sensational 2019/20 campaign in England.
‘The Reds’ revealed that the Senegal international won the award on Monday via their official website.
Mane beat Manchester City Stars, Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling as well as Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy with 41 per cent of the votes from the fans.
The 28-year-old helped Liverpool clinch the Premier League title, contributing 18 goals and seven assists along the way.
Meanwhile, City midfielder De Bruyne walked away with the Premier League’s Player of the Season after ending the season with an impressive 13 goals and 20 assists.
Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold won the Young Player of the Season award following an outstanding campaign.

The 21-year-old played in every Premier League match and scored 17 goals while ‘Reds’ coach Jurgen Klopp was named the Manager of the Season as he led Liverpool to their first league title in 30 years.
Tottenham forward Heung-min Son’s brilliant solo effort against Burnley in December won the Premier League Goal of the Season award.
