Eswatini giants Manzini Wanderers’ financial crisis has deepened with players engaging in a strike yet again.
Swazi Observer is reporting that the situation is tense that players have not returned to training since the match against Milling Hotspurs played last week Tuesday.
Prior to the match, the players were on strike due to the unpaid three months salaries. However, the management managed to convince the players to return to training and honour that match.
The latest news indicates that the players have now boycotted training until they are paid their owed salaries.
“The players have made it clear that they will not attend training until the management pays them. It is a tough situation,” a source told the publication.
The club’s media officer Mlungisi Ndzinisa also confirmed to the same publication that the players are yet to return.
“It’s is true the players have not reported for training. As management, we are trying by all means to solve the situation. We are hopeful that things will soon get back to normal,” he said.
