Mapeza’s record with Chippa

Norman Mapeza’s resignation as Chippa United coach has come as a surprise to football followers.

The ‘Chilli Boys’ had seemed a stable outfit since he took over in early October last year. Chippa even kept five clean sheets in a row at some point.

FARPost looks at Mapeza’s record with the Eastern Cape-based club.

He was in charge of 19 games across all competitions; winning 8, losing 8 (including one on penalties) and drew three.

Chippa’s biggest win under Mapeza was their 3-0 demolishing of Black Leopards on November 27 last year and their biggest defeat was by the same scoreline to both SuperSport United (0-3) and Mamelodi Sundowns (0-3).
