Mamelodi Sundowns’ new signing Grant Margeman is keen to fight for his place, and learn more from Masandawana’s finest.
The 22-year-old joined Bafana Ba Style on a five-year contract from the Urban Warriors.
Margeman made his senior professional debut in the 2016/17 season at the age of 18 years under the tutelage of Stanley Menzo and managed to scored three times after making 14 appearances.
The club describes him as one of the most hardworking and talented midfielders in the country.
“I want to get into the team, fight for my place, grow as a person in the team and get to know and learn from the guys,” said the U23 international.
The Cape Town-born footballer was part of the Ajax Cape Town squad that failed to gain promotion back to the top division on the last day of GladAfrica Championship matches.
The Brazilians’ new man is eager to win trophies with the club just like any other player who joins the Tshwane-based outfit.
“It’s a new chapter in my life but still the same Grant and the same goal which is to win more trophies for the club. I want to win my first trophy as a professional footballer with the club”, said Margeman.
Margeman also revealed that he wants to acquire more knowledge from the guys since the team has more experienced players for the betterment of his career.
“The club has some great players with experience and I want to learn as much from them and give back to the club. There are guys like Hlompho (Kekana) AJ (Jali) George (Maluleka) just to name a few who have been in the game for years,” he concluded.
