Marumo Gallants have been linked with a move to sign Kaizer Chiefs youth graduate Thato Khiba on a free transfer in the coming days.
Khiba has been a free agent since parting ways with then ABC Motsepe League side, Baberwa back in January 2020 and has been on a search for a club.
According to FARPost sources, Khiba is on the verge of joining the Limpopo-based outfit.
“He is close to moving to Limpopo, it is only a matter of contract agreement, and the club also wants to have a further look at him in training, but the deal is good as done,” said the source.
The 24-year-old midfielder was one of the hottest properties in the Diski Challenge and caught the attention of GladAfrica Championship side Uthongathi, who decided to sign him in 2018 but released him a year later.
It is also worth noting that Gallants are yet to renew contracts of several players, including the likes of Lerato Lamola, Thabo Rakhale and Tokelo Rantie.
