Manchester United have announced the contract extension of midfielder Juan Mata.
The new deal will see the Spanish international stay at Old Trafford until June 2022.
Mata joined the Red Devils back in January 2014 and has made 273 appearances for United, having found the back of the net on 51 occasions.
The 33-year-old footballer is raring to go in what will be his ninth campaign at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
The club’s boss [Solskjaer] continues to be a huge supporter of the fleet-footed World Cup winner, who has become one of the most popular players in recent United history and he is highly respected by all of his team-mates.
