Mathaithai sign former Celtic striker

Mathaithai FC have completed the signing of striker, Ipeleng Gracious Seepamore.

Seepamore joins the side from D’General FC.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic frontman aims to help the Free State ABC Motsepe League outfit gain promotion to the GladAfrica Championship come the end of the 2021/22 season.

‘Centropain’, as he is popularly known within football cycles, believes that his experiences in the South African football top-flight and the National First Division will benefit the ‘Sebete Boys’

The 32-year-old footballer also represented the likes of Vasco Da Gama, Maluti FET and Garankuwa United.

The acquisition of Seepamore is a true indication of what the club chairman Sipho Gxilisha said at the end of the last term – assuring the club supporters that they will not make too many changes as they intend to keep the technical team and players, and only beef up the team where it’s necessary ahead of the new campaign.

“We are content, calm and very positive. We are keeping our technical team and have confidence in our players, we have learned a thing or two in this tough league so we will beef up the team where it’s necessitated in a quest to come back stronger and wiser next season,” said the chairman.

This will be Mathaithai’s second season in the South African football third-tier.
