Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Chris Matombo is on the verge of finalising his move to the GladAfrica Championship side Sekhukhune United.
FARPost has it on good authority that Matombo has traveled with the Limpopo-based outfit to Durban for their Nedbank Cup Round of 32 match against Maritzburg United today at Harry Gwala Stadium.
The 27-year-old has been training with Babina Noko since returning from Malta where he was playing his football with Senglea Atlantic.
Sekhukhune spokesperson Tebogo Mapinga told this publication that the club has not made a final decision but admits the player is training with the club.
“At this point is that Chris is with the team, but a decision has not been made.
“When everything is finalised we will announce it,” he said.
The kick-off is set for 17:00 in the evening.
