SuperSport United held their first training session at their new Biologically Safe Environment (BSE) base, the King’s College in Johannesburg on Thursday.
Kaitano Tembo’s charges are preparing for their opening match of the restart against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday at their new home ground in the BSE, the Bidvest Stadium.
“The players are really excited to get back to playing and I think this is an opportunity for them to show appreciation for the work that has been put behind the scenes for us to get to playing,” said Tembo.
“The pitch is good [King’s College], the surface is very good even though it is very small pitch, which will make it a little bit difficult for us to prepare properly because the length and the width of the pitch are not standard,” said Tembo.
“You know is a school field as well but nevertheless we are happy in terms of the facilities we have been given and going to the hotel. Well organised, the rooms are good and everything allows us to adhere to the health protocols so it is all systems go for us,” he added.
