Fresh off captaining SuperSport United to a narrow 1-0 win over Stellenbosch in a DStv Premiership match on Wednesday, Ronwen Williams is confident that Matsatsantsa can secure a win in their MTN semifinal second leg against Bloemfontein Celtic at Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The two teams head into the return leg after their 1-1 draw in Atteridgeville, Pretoria last week and Williams says his team is highly motivated and ready to fight by all means to defend their title – qualify for the fourth consecutive MTN8 final appearance.
“We need all our soldiers as the games are coming thick and fast. It’s going to be a completely different ball game against Celtic,” said Williams.
“They have rested some players [in a league game versus Orlando Pirates on Wednesday]. The positive thing for us is we won our encounter and the guys who came in have done very well, meaning we got more options available.
“We have had very close encounters over the years, they have a structure and way of playing and they are good at it. If we play to our team’s strength and minimize our weaknesses, we will be fine,’ added the Bafana Bafana goalkeeper.
“SuperSport always play to win, we are going out there to win the match, it’s not going to be an easy one but if we follow our game plan and believe in it we will come out victorious,” he concluded.
