Maybe my players want to go home – Nelukau

Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) coach Lucky Nelukau reckons his players might be tired of staying in the PSL bio-bubble, hence their terrible results in the promotion/relegation play-offs.

TTM are bottom of the three-team mini-league following an embarrassing 5-1 defeat by Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday at the Bidvest Stadium.

It was a third defeat for the club who have also conceded 11 goals in the three matches.

“Maybe its fatigue endurance, maybe they are tired and they are thinking of going home,” said Nelukau.

“But I will try to go and motivate them, come the Black Leopards game maybe we will do better. We contained them (Ajax) the whole 45 minutes, the second half maybe its fatigue or thinking of going home, I don’t know.

“Maybe they are tired of this bio-bubble. If they want to go with us to the Premier Division then they need to work. They need to start working, maybe some of them will show me when we play against Black Leopards because we cannot manage to go home without points,” he added.

Although TTM are out of contention for promotion to the Premier Division, they can still have a say on who finishes top between Leopards and Ajax.

‘The Urban Warriors’ will host ‘Lidoda Duvha’ on Friday at Rand Stadium and a win for Ajax will mean Leopards must beat TTM with a heavy score in the final match on Monday at FNB Stadium.
