Lionel Messi has arrived in the French capital Paris to put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after leaving Barcelona.
The Argentina captain is reportedly set to sign a deal worth £25m per year after tax with PSG.
Messi’s father and agent Jorge as well as his wife Antonela were spotted at the corporate terminal at Barcelona’s El Prat Airport ahead of a flight to Paris, earlier today and he’s already arrived.
The 34-year-old was set to sign a new five-year contract at Barcelona. But the club was unable to complete the deal due to “financial and structural obstacles”.

Messi said he wanted to stay at Barcelona and “did everything” he could to remain at the club, including agreeing to a 50-per-cent wage cut.
Asked about a move to PSG at his farewell press conference last weekend, Messi said: “That is one possibility, to reach those heights”.
