Masibusane Zongo’s close friend Nhlanhla Magaga has offered some words of advice and encouragement to his pal who seems to be back to his wayward behaviour.
Zongo has been given a lifeline by GladAfrica Championship side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila to revive his dead-end career that has been marred by disappearing tendencies at almost every club he played for.
The 29-year-old has reportedly been suspended for 3 weeks by TTM for going AWOL in the beginning of this month.
Mgaga who joined Baroka FC from TTM in December last year believes his friend will overcome his troubles as long as he changes friends.
“Some of the people exaggerate (things about Zongo) because they hear Zongo is a better player, even his behaviour is good. One on one situation you can talk with him,” the 23-year-old told FARPost.
“I think the most difficult thing that Zongo has been doing is his friends man they are not okay for him because they only want him when he has money after that they don’t care about him,” he said.
“Yeah he will bounce back there is no one who is perfect in life so I believe that he will change. My advice for him is to take football serious because that’s our gift and God gave us this gift so that we can use it very good,” added Mgaga.
Although Zongo is from the Eastern Cape and Mgaga is from Meadowlands in Soweto, the two met through football at a young age and have been close ever since.
