Zamalek fans have told Micho Sredojevic in no uncertain terms that he doesn’t deserve to coach their club.
The situation is boiling over after Zamalek were beaten 2-1 by struggling side, ENPPI, on Monday.
The former Orlando Pirates coach has won 8 out of 12 matches in charge of Zamalek, losing three and drawing one, since he was announced as their coach in August.
But since the win over Pyramids, Zamalek have lost 3-2 to bitter rivals Al Ahly in the Egyptian Super Cup, which is something that didn’t go down well with the Zamalek supporters.
To make matters worse, Zamalek were beaten by a team in the relegation zone, ENNPI and the supporters have gone crazy (see below).
Sredojevic is apparently on a salary of R18-million a year. He joined Zamalek immediately after his resignation from the Buccaneers.
Zamalek’s next match is against DR Congo giants TP Mazembe in Lubumbashi on Saturday.
It’s a CAF Champions League tie that has the potential to seal Sredojevic’s fate.
