Former Bafana Bafana mentor Ephraim ‘Shakes’ Mashaba says it is no longer a secret that the pressure of winning the Absa Premiership title is starting to weigh heavily on Kaizer Chiefs head coach Ernst Middendorp.
Amakhosi are currently sitting on top of the log but have now seen the gap being shorten to four points.
“Truly speaking it’s still open.” Mashaba tells FARPost.
“Because you know the results are not guaranteed you know, unless if they say the league is finished today.
“But unfortunately, if you look at the previous five, six games on who owes how many points, it’s a clear indication, “said Mashaba.
You can tell. That’s not a secret, not when you started so well, you were leading sometimes by double figure points you know.
“He must be under pressure. Actually, the top four they are all under pressure. But the pressure differs according to their positions. It was Pitso [Mosimane] who I recall saying you are talking about Chiefs winning, May is still far you know, “added Mashaba.
“But the team that will win it’s the team that’s gonna be consistent in winning their games, “concluded the ex-Bafana coach.
