Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach Manqoba Mngqithi has been given some time off by the club.
The Brazilians have confirmed in a statement that Mngqithi is attending to a family bereavement, hence his absence.
“Coach Manqoba has had a family bereavement and has been allowed a few days off with his family,” reads Downs’ statement.
“He has the full support of the technical team, players, management, board and the club president. We wish him and his family all the strength during these trying times.”
Sundowns will face Highlands Park at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday.
