Mobbie reiterates the importance of fighting

With just seven games left and a possibility of playing in the promotional/relegation playoffs, Chippa United have their destiny in their hands.

The Eastern Cape side have their backs against the wall as they look to move away from the relegation zone.

They recently lost 1-0 to Baroka FC at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium and their next match is this afternoon (15:00) against Golden Arrows who are firing from all cylinders.

Chippa United defender Nyiko Mobbie says that it’s difficult for players, but they will fight for the club.

“It’s difficult you know, after we lost the game against Baroka but what can I say, there is nothing we can do. We are looking forward to the next game, it’s not going to be easy to play Arrows but we are going to fight.

“We are not in a good position on the log, so we are looking forward to give everything that can help the team as players.”

The Chilli Boys cannot afford to make any mistakes during this time of the season, they’ve already lost some matches because of individual errors.

“To be honest we are conceding goals through our own mistakes you know, so we’ve been working on that. It’s difficult where we are, but I think we are looking forward to correct whatever we have done wrong in the past.”
