Mogale aims for promotion with Leopards

Newly appointed Black Leopards head coach Floyd Mogale believes a promotion with his new club is achievable if they are all in the same direction.

Mogale together with Benson Mhlongo and Morgan Shivambu form part of the new technical team at Lidoda Duvha.

He takes over with the club lying at the bottom half of the table after seven matches. The former Mamelodi Sundowns development coach insists the club does not deserve to play in the first division.

“Black Leopards is a big team and a big brand. They are not where they deserve to be, NFD is not for them. I think they are supposed to be in the DStv Premiership,” he told FARPost.

“So, you could see these boys are demotivated. You need to pump these boys up; you need to motivate them and make them believe that they can make it. Seven points behind log leaders is nothing. It’s a race so if they get motivated now.

“We train well and do our regeneration properly I think the sky is the limit. We will get there. There is no mandate, the mandate is to get this team to the DStv Premiership. It’s very achievable, it’s also not up to me only, it’s also up to the players. If we work together, we will get it right. I have been there with Royal AM, I got Royal AM at position 14 and when I left, they were position two. So, it’s achievable,” he said.
