A Galatasaray legend has come out singing praises for Mostafa Mohamed.
Tanju Colak expects the 23-year-old to have a really high and consistent goal scoring average following his recent form.
Mohamed has hit the ground-running since joining the giants from Zamalek.
Alongside Henry Onyekuru, the loanees have brought the much-needed fire power up front for Fatih Terim’s side since their arrival in the new year.
Colak, who was the 1998 European Golden Boot winner and Galatasaray’s third all-time goal scorer with 132 goals, expects the Egypt international to have similar or even greater success than he did at the club.
Speaking to Turkish publication A Spor, Colak said the forward oozes nothing, but quality. “Mostafa Mohamed is a very good striker.
“Just as my goal average was no less than 30 goals per season, I think his average goal rate will not be less than 25 goals per season.
“Look at Galatasaray with its brilliant goalkeeper Fernando Muslera and look at Galatasaray without him. You will see the difference with the competitors,” he concluded.
Since Mohamed’s arrival, the Red and Yellows jumped from third place to first place, three points ahead of arch-rivals Besiktas and Fenerbahce who had led the pack for most of the season.
